"king without a crown" by matisyahu has been playing on repeat for like two days now! I love it love it love it!! I posted the lyrics sometime ago...I think in february or somthing....but people this song is lush!!! lusher than the body shop passion fruit shower gel!! Other than that some friends and I were talking about religion last night. I'm Anglican, two were roman catholic and one was greek orthodox. It was really interesting, but to cut a long story short, we all seemed to agree that the relationship between you and God is just that ... "a relationship between you and your God" you don't need the church, the pope, priests and all those things. What counts is the personal relationship you have with him. There has to be a higher being than you, that's why you inately know when you're doing wrong or right. You don't need the bible, or any other religious book to tell you. You just know in-se! So all in all, it was quite an insightful discussion.

Totally agree thats its about a relationship thats personal with no time for organised religion. But, dont need the bible? mmh I think thats controversial.
i can see where the whole thing of not needing the bible came from - you only have to look at the history of how it was put together to make you abit sceptic. but doing away with it all together? i'm not sure i agree with that. and that matisyahu song is the coolest, but over here it is in danger of being overplayed :-(
Agree totally you and God, maybe throwing the bible away is a bit too much...
you will need the bible coz that the 'letter' from Him and thats the way to h=know Him.
I also know that you do need the church..not am not saying you need religion. but you most def need the bible and the church!

haiya...people!!! I didn't say to throw away the bible...like chuck it right out...no...ofcourse it is vital in your relationship with God, all I was trying to put through is that deep in us, we know what's right and wrong.

Totally feel you on the relationship wit God thing, though think about it, if we dint have the bible how would info pass from generation to generations about God without being totally corrupted(broken telephone style.) I agree totally that essentially we are born with the inner ability to tell what’s right from wrong…. Perfect example the Adam Eve situation... Problem is as humans we have been brought up to depend on facts rather then emotions and therefore always need to depend on a basis for the rules which govern our lives…Its only because we have gone through years with our religions that we can now decide that we can do without it…so as much as we can do without all the elements of religion right now.. ..I’m glad that we don’t… so in case we lose ourselves there is always a path showing you the right way back…
I LOOOOOOOOOVVVEEEEEEE that song. There was a point in time where I kept playing it over and over. Still not tired of it.
The matisyahu dude has really laid down some cool songs - someone had the nerve to compare him to that Canadian due form Cnaada - Informer !!!
